The city of Vancouver is seeking applications for a midterm position on its Lodging Tax Advisory Committee.

The city collects a 4 percent lodging tax on hotel, motel, and bed and breakfast bookings, and the committee makes recommendations to the city council on how that money should be spent. In 2018, the group helped award $753,609 to tourism-boosting projects.

Applicants for this position must represent a nonprofit organization that would be eligible to receive lodging tax funds. Committee members serve two-year terms and meet four to six times per year.

To apply online, visit www.cityofvancouver.us/boards. To request an application or for more information, contact Michelle Bartley at michelle.bartley@cityofvancouver.us or 360-487-8607.

Applications are due 5 p.m. Aug. 9.
