We are on septic, and make french press coffee on the weekends. Cleaning out the press, we dump the grounds into the trash, but some grounds still remain…like <1 teaspoon. It’s okay to rinse those all down the kitchen sink drain, right?
Or do I really need to use a rubber scraper to get 100% of them into the trash?
Besides being sure to use plenty of water to rinse grounds all the way through, is there anything else I should be doing?
I feel silly even asking this question, but I’d rather be safe and silly than causing problems for myself out of ignorance. Thank you!
